Join Pack 54 at Caesar's Creek, Flat Fork Picnic Area August 15-16 for an astronomy themed campout for the entire family.

Registration starts at 3 p.m.
Dinner and Activities begin at 7 p.m.
We will break down camp and activities will be completed by 2 p.m. on Saturday
RSVP by 8/10 Here to guarantee we have you in the meal plan.

Cost is $5 a person with a maximum cost of $20 per family (payment will be taken upon arrival at camp).

Families are responsible for their own supplies including tents and personal gear. (Don't have a tent? The pack has several you can borrow. Contact Jim Bachmann.) If you have mess kits or something comparable, please bring it (if not, the Pack does still have some leftover paper products from the last campout). Be sure to bring a water bottle for in between meals to avoid dehydration. Food (except a dish to share on Friday evening) will be provided by the Pack.

Be sure to bring a song or skit to share for the evening campfire. If you don't bring one - one will be provided for you, free of charge. Also at the evening campfire, the Pack will be holding a flag retirement ceremony. If you have any flags that need to be retired, you may bring those with you.

We currently need volunteers to help pack the trailer in the days prior to the campout and a driver to pull the trailer to and/or from the campsite. If you are interested in any of these roles, please contact Jim Bachmann. Remember, we can't do these activities without our parent volunteers.

The Flat Fork Picnic Area is located right next to the dam at Caesar Creek Park.  If you come from the Welcome Center, turn left out of the parking lot.  Then take the first left after the Dam and then a right down the hill.  You will see the registration table once you clear the woods.

If you have any questions about the campout, please feel free to contact Juliette Dame at Otherwise, bring, a blanket and hope for some clear skies because we are going to be stargazing to the moon and back on August 15. We hope to see you there.
